NEW: Pete Tong Reports To Radio Show With Daft Punk This Friday On BBC Radio One

190459_10151595302909929_1830571278_nAbout 15 minutes ago, Pete Tong took to his Facebook page to announce that Daft Punk will be joining him on the airwaves for this Friday’s edition of his BBC Radio One show. We are not quite clear on the details of the show but we do know that if it is anything like their last BBC visit in 97′ where they recorded their infamous essential mix, we will be in store for a treat. We can hopefully expect to hear some exclusive listens of their upcoming album Random Access Memories and for that we will be sure to stay tuned to our radios come this Friday night at 9 pm.

NEW TUNE: Daft Punk – “Get Lucky” (Radio Edit) [Feat. Pharrell Williams] *First Single From Random Access Memories*

Coupled with just about as much anticipation as one single album can contain, Daft Punks upcoming Random Access Memories album will clearly be one of the most critically acclaimed albums of the past years. Now, we are blessed to be able to purchase the first single from the album, “Get Lucky“. The tune which features Pharrell Williams and also some studio work from Nile Rogers (pretty sure), is everything we have wanted from Daft Punk. It is as if they took the last 6 years to slow cook this album into a succulent and perfected gem. We will be keeping you posted with all Daft Punk news but for now, check out “Get Lucky” to hold you over!

NEW MIX: Late Night Radio – ‘Grassroots California Mixtape’ (The 710 Cup Edition)

Prepping for a hefty Summer, Late Night Radio, or LNR, recorded this mini-mix (racking up a fitting 7 minutes and 10 seconds) for his upcoming gig at Grassroots California and Hitman Glass Summer Festival, The 710 Cup. NEW TUNE: Late Night Radio – “Mood Swings” (FREE Download)

artworks-000045007609-uvqgo9-t500x500There are very few emerging producers that have me as excited as Late Night Radio.  December marked the release Concrete Collage, and while most artists take a little breather from posting new material on soundcloud after an EP release, LNR has been dishing out the music full force.  The past few months since Concrete Collage he’s dropped a mix, two collaborations with Robotic Pirate Monkey, and tons of singles.

The amount of music dropped still isn’t as impressive as the uniqueness of each song and the quality of production, this holds true for his latest single, Mood Swings.  This epic track captures Late Night Radio’s signature sound with a blend of a groovin’ hip hop beat, a massive synth driving the song, and soulful samples run through some LNR magic making them both eerie and beautiful.  Mood Swings is the perfect track to put on while kickin it with the homies, or getting your rage face on in preparation for festival season.

Late Night Radio has been keeping busy with shows in the Denver area, opening for big names like GRiZ and Michal Menert.  He’s also the line up for this summer’s highly anticipated 710 Cup.  All of his music is available for free on his soundcloud.   Make sure to follow him, because he’s dropping awesome new tunes all the time.

NEW MIX: ETC! ETC! – ‘Diplo and Friends’ Mix (FREE Download)

His weekly “Diplo and Friends” radio show on BBC Radio 1 is perhaps the best example. Featuring artists from all over the world spanning out across all genres, the radio show does an amazing job of showcasing the next hot artists and tunes. This past week, Diplo asked badman ETC! ETC! to give it a go and boy did he go hard. Featuring tunes from himself and from friends in the bass scene, the list of tracks is massive. TNGHT (Lunice & Hudson Mohawke) have made it clear that they are huge Kanye West fans. First releasing an edit of Kanye’s track “Clique” along with a video shot live at a Brooklyn TNGHT show featuring a cameo from Kanye himself, and now featuring their edit of the Kanye West track “Cold” in their Boiler Room Radio set. The tune is bonkers as is everything that TNGHT touches. There has been no official announcements of release but we are sure going to be bumping this radio rip in the meantime.
