NEW TUNE: Daft Punk – “Get Lucky” (Radio Edit) [Feat. Pharrell Williams] *First Single From Random Access Memories*

Coupled with just about as much anticipation as one single album can contain, Daft Punks upcoming Random Access Memories album will clearly be one of the most critically acclaimed albums of the past years. Now, we are blessed to be able to purchase the first single from the album, “Get Lucky“. The tune which features Pharrell Williams and also some studio work from Nile Rogers (pretty sure), is everything we have wanted from Daft Punk. It is as if they took the last 6 years to slow cook this album into a succulent and perfected gem. We will be keeping you posted with all Daft Punk news but for now, check out “Get Lucky” to hold you over!

NEW TUNE: TNGHT – “Acrylics”

Lunice & Hudson Mohawke a.k.a TNGHT have released an incredibly bangin’ track entitled Acrylics. I’m not too sure what type of extra-curricular activities these Canadian/Euro producers participate in while they are collaborating however, I encourage them to keep it up because the end results make me want to never sleep again. The mega trap beat is the most appropriate soundtrack for a battle between alien dinosaurs and zombie sea creatures during the second coming of Christ. As one listener’s comment on soundcloud suggested, it is music for “the boss level on Mario.”  Boss indeed. If you like this song, I recommend you listen to TNGHT’s self-titled EP. With 172,111 plays in 2 days on Soundcloud, I expect to hear bits of Acrylics in many late-night tent trap DJ sets this summer. Rage!

NEW TUNE: Kanye West – “Cold” (TNGHT Remix) [Radio Rip]

TNGHT (Lunice & Hudson Mohawke) have made it clear that they are huge Kanye West fans. First releasing an edit of Kanye’s track “Clique” along with a video shot live at a Brooklyn TNGHT show featuring a cameo from Kanye himself, and now featuring their edit of the Kanye West track “Cold” in their Boiler Room Radio set. The tune is bonkers as is everything that TNGHT touches. There has been no official announcements of release but we are sure going to be bumping this radio rip in the meantime. We hope you bump it too!

SHOW & CONTEST ANNOUNCEMENT: January 31st – GRiZ in Grand Rapids, MI at The Intersection

imageCurated Music is excited to announce that GRiZ will be returning to his home state of Michigan for a very special night in Grand Rapids at The Intersection! Curated Music is co-presenting the night with The Intersection and we have some special treats in store for you. Throughout the next couple weeks, you can find our Detroit street team passing out flyers and spreading the word that Jan. 31st, you need to be at The Intersection for GRiZ. We will also be running a couple contests to hook up some lucky fans with some tickets to the show and maybe even some GRiZ swag. We are already counting down the minutes until GRiZ takes the stage in Grand Rapids. If you’ve never witnessed GRiZ perform, this show will blow you away. GRiZ has been selling out venues across the country and is on the way to have an extremely busy 2013 packed with shows, tours, and festival dates. This show will sell out.
