We are not quite clear on the details of the show but we do know that if it is anything like their last BBC visit in 97′ where they recorded their infamous essential mix, we will be in store for a treat. We can hopefully expect to hear some exclusive listens of their upcoming album Random Access Memories and for that we will be sure to stay tuned to our radios come this Friday night at 9 pm.

NEW TUNE: Basement Jaxx – “Where’s Your Head At” (Team Bayside High & Willy Joy Bootleg) [FREE Download]

artworks-000045134566-l5vtv1-t500x500Many have attempted and all have failed until now. Finally, we have heard a good remix/bootleg of Bassment Jaxx‘s classic hit “Where’s Your Head At“. Two of Chicago’s heavyweights, Team Bayside High & Willy Joy, teamed up to produce this tune and we are quite the fan. Turning the electro banger into a trap adaptation, the two production entities have polished this bootleg into a tune that will get the dance-floor poppin’ with nostalgia and energy. We hope to hear this tune in a live set soon! Enjoy this classic and make sure to grab your free download!

NEW TUNE: Donkong – “Turn It Up” (‘WTF IS MOLLY GRIT EP’) [FREE Download]

artworks-000042735914-vfze5s-t500x500This tune dropped a bit ago and it may be the beginning to a new sub-genre revolution. Backed and presented by Mad Decent and their blog, tribal bass lord Donkong dropped his tune “Turn It Up” a.k.a. WTF IS MOLLY GRIT EP  for free download through his Facebook page. Donkong is exploding on the bass electronic music circuit and is destined to be a very respected name in every producers playlist. As for molly grit, the words from the song posting explain it best:

“Molly Grit is a music TAG that mixes the molecular base of trap, moombahton, juke, dubstep , and tropical bass sounds. Based on slang terminology it can be the molecular core for anything. And that ‘s exactly what it is, sonic ecstasy.

The newest, most exciting form of bass that has been around for months; In fact; made by hundreds of producers all over the place, although their description falls flat in giving an accurate term. Do not confuse it with Zouk Bass, which mostly is a highly influenced version of Tarraxinha with bass elements. Both have common elements, but when you listen closely, you will hear big differences.”

Be on the look out for more bass packed tunes from Donkong!

NEW TUNE: Two Fresh – “ALOHA” (Ft. Purple Monk & Miyagi) [FREE Download]

prt_864x864_1353972101It is very fitting when producers like Two Fresh team up with up-and-coming hip-hop emcees like Purple Monk and Miyagi from Ziggurat Records. This tune, entitled “ALOHA” shows how true Two Fresh really are. Taking an old-school elevator esque ditty and turning it into a flossed out hip-hop beat, Two Fresh set this one up for pals Purple Monk and Miyagi and they hit a home run. Originally posted exclusively through ThisSongIsSick.com, this tune is everything we look for in a hip-hop song. For now, this shit will stay underground but everybody better brace for a full world takeover by Two Fresh and every other producer doing what they do and staying true to their roots. We are super down with this and we know you will be too. Oh, and there is a super ill music video to pair with the song. As they say in the track, “Hola, aloha, roll up the doja, let’s smoke, so nice to know ya”. Peace!

NEW RELEASE: Two Fresh – ‘Watch This’ EP (5-Track FREE Download)

artworks-000039363739-0l0j5p-t500x500
One of our favorite Colorado based artists, Two Fresh, just slammed a huge one on the world with the release of their new Watch This EP that just dropped tonight. Previewing a tune from the 5-track release, “12PM” last week, we were stoked on this release. Premiered by Thissongissick.com, the tunes feature a fresh, smooth, trill sound from the dynamic twins. Working with old and new sounding synthesizers onto banging 808 drum packs, the release has a true OG throwback trap feel. We encourage you to bump this in a candy purple drop-top Chevy with a pair of 12″s in the trunk. Two Fresh proves that they can keep up with all the heavyweights in the trap game today with this release. Not that we didn’t already know that. Turn your subs up, light up some purp blunts, and bump this new EP from Two Fresh available for FREE download.

NEW TUNE: Flux Pavillion – “Starlight”(Blow The Roof EP Out 1/28)

stralightIn just a couple short days, Flux Pavillion will be dropping his Blow The Roof EP.
