contestrreIt’s almost officially Detroit Techno Week and that can only mean one thing: Movement Electronic Music Festival. To add on to all of the festivities, we here at Curated Music have teamed up with our friends at War Torn Entertainment to bring three nights of bumping parties to Detroit on the river. Join us Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights as we celebrate Movement, Detroit, and Summer. All of the events are located at Sindbad’s at 100 St Clair St  Detroit, MI 48214.

Friday night’s event is dubbed ‘Trapped in the D” and is an official ‘Trail to Electric Forest’ event. The night features artists Willy Joy, BUKU, Regulators, Great Dane, as well as a heavy group of local support. ENTER BELOW TO WIN TICKETS:

EVENT ALERT: ‘Trapped In Detroit’ with Willy Joy + BUKU + Regulators + Great Dane on May 24th (A ‘Trail To The Forest’ Event) [Movement Pre-Party]

Curated Music is teaming up with our friends at War Torn Entertainment to present “Trapped In Detroit”, a very special event founded around the love for future bass music. Headlining the night are the good homies Willy Joy, BUKU, Regulators, and Great Dane with local support from Satta Don Dada, Deklo, and Dogfingaz. To spice things up a bit, we asked our friends from Prime Social Group to jump on board and add this to The Path on their “Trail To The Forest” series. Expect tons of Electric Forest themed surprises all night long. The night is hosted at the beautiful river-front Sinbads venue and will be bumping until the wee hours of the morning. NEW TUNE: Great Dane – “I Do My” (FREE Download) [Alpha Dog LP Out 3/12 On Alpha Pup Records]

Over a year in the making, this album promises to be full of soulful yet gangster beats. A member of Team Supreme, Great Dane is no stranger to the beat scene and there’s no better home then Alpha Pup for the big dog. Today, Alpha Pup and Great Dane premiered the first single off the album entitled “I Do My” for FREE download. The tune features insane deep kicks and perfectly timed snares. NEW RELEASE: GeoVybe – “Vybrational Geometry” EP (4-Track FREE Download)

artworks-000036658752-i0qfx0-t500x500Hailing from Northern Michigan and residing in the thriving electronic music scene of East Lansing, Michigan, GeoVybe, half of the duo Ternidup, has released his first solo work, “Vybrational Geometry” EP. GeoVybe has put a ton of love and fine-tuning into this 4-track EP. Featuring the single, a remix of Jurassic 5 “Whats Golden”, the EP is a combination of glitch grime and beautiful synth bass music (do you follow LOL, just listen!). With plans to follow up this release with a plethora of new tunes, GeoVybe is exploring and innovating the glitch hop genre and working on taking his sounds to the next level.  Between the GeoVybe and Ternidup projects, this young producer is staying busy in the studio, logging countless hours a day.
