NEW RELEASE: Emancipator ‘Dusk to Dawn’ (LoCi Records) [10-Track Album Out Now]

It is clear that Emancipator‘s heart and soul went into producing his newest and fourth full length album Dusk to Dawn which dropped today on his newly formed LoCi Records. The album features a revamped Emancipator sound, a bit more electric, much more worldly, and much more mature. We have been huge Emancipator fans since we first heard his tunes a few years ago. Since then we have listened to the Emancipator sound develop and morph into the smoothest combinations of electro, instrumentals percussion, and all different elements and styles of production.

It is a pleasure to listen to Emancipator and it is something we here at Curated Music partake in often. The album showcases 10 brand new beautiful, original studio tracks and includes collaborations and features from many artists like D.V.S. contributing guitar, and Dominic Lalli of Big Gigantic contributing saxophone to tracks. Of course, the infamous strings of Ilya Goldberg can be heard on quite a few of the tracks. We are falling in love with Emancipator all over again.

In the midst of his huge Winter Tour with support from Tor, Mux Mool, Eliot Lipp, and others, the Portland based producer has truly put the album title ‘Dusk to Dawn’ to real meaning, staying up through the night, show after show, with violinist and right hand man Ilya Goldberg to perfect the album and add the finishing touches. NEWS: Emancipator – Tour Preview, New Video, Video Interview, Album Dropping 1/29

Emancipator is about to make another splash in the electronic music community with the Portland based producer dropping a new album, Dusk To Dawn on his newly established label, LoCi Records. The album will be fourth original full length release from Emancipator with each one solidifying his popularity and dedicated fan-base surmountable metrics. In anticipation of the album and in celebration of the 44-stop North American tour, Emancipator has released the beautiful music video for the single off Dusk to Dawn, “Minor Cause“. The video is stunning and fits the track perfectly. Emancipator makes three stops in our home state of Michigan on route for tour with Kalamazoo last night, Grand Rapids on Wednesday the 23rd at The Intersection, and Detroit on Thursday the 24th at The Majestic. We are excited to catch up with Emancipator and see what’s in store for the rest of the tour. NEW TUNE: Emancipator – “Minor Cause” (FREE Download + Album Dropping 1/29)

We first became friends with Emancipator a couple of years ago when he came to Detroit for a very special sold-out show. Since then, we have seen Emancipator live dozens of times and we even have a Curated Conversation interview with Emancipator’s Doug Appling (joined by violinist Ilya Goldberg) coming out very soon. It is safe to say that Emancipator is up there on our favorite artists list. The inspiring producer is heading out on a 44 date North American tour tonight and also set sights on a Janurary 29th release date for the new album “Dusk To Dawn” released by Loci Records. The twelve track album features sounds classic and new to Emancipator fans, featuring Emancipator’s chill and beautiful vibes while adding a new sense of production quality. In celebration of the release, Loci has decided to release the single from “Dusk To Dawn” entitled “Minor Cause” for free download. We are excited for the world to hear the new Emancipator material and we are all lucky enough that out of those 44 dates, there will more than likely be one (or two) you can make it out to! Joined on select dates by Random Rab, Eliot Lipp, Mux Mool, and/or Tor, this tour promises to be way more than just your average concert. NEW TUNE: Kendrick Lamar – “Swimming Pools” (At Dawn We Rage Fest Edit)

At Dawn We Rage produced an edit of Rap game’s prodigy Kendrick Lamar and dropped it at their NYE events in Dallas for Lights All Night and Pittsburgh for Time Travel. The crowd really dug the trap tune so as New Year gift, they have decided to release the track for streaming and for download. Check it out. DRANK!
