FESTY NEWS: Camp Bisco Releases Artist By Day Lineup & Silent Disco Lineup

600546_469845889768728_103991737_nIt’s getting to be that time of the Summer when we plan our annual trip to New York for the massive Camp Bisco Music Festival. This year, the festival promises to keep it’s audience at full attention. Starting with a lineup spanning across all musical genres led by The Disco Biscuits, Bassnectar, Passion Pit, STS9, and Animal Collective, Camp Bisco scored an ace with talent.

Priding itself as a festival that is always a step ahead, Camp Bisco has organized epic environments through features like their Curated Tents & Silent Disco. This year, the tents will include the OWSLA vs. BoysNoize Records tent and will feature artists such as Flux Pavilion, ℧Z,  Dillon Francis, and of course, Boys Noize, The French Express Records Tent featuring label owner Perseus and Moon Boots, and the third stage featuring our good friends at This Song Is Sick presenting a special collection of artists including: HeRobust, Heroes x Villains, Congorock, Crizzly, Gramatik, and Dirtyphonics (Live). The Silent Disco is nothing to be missed featuring an all-star lineup captained by a very special DJ set from Passion Pit and followed by artists like Manic Focus, Horizon Wireless, Russ Liquid, and others. On top of all of this, Camp Bisco will showcase a rare live set from the bass lords of, Destroid. All in all, the music at Camp Bisco will be intense.

Saturday Only tickets will go on sale Saturday, June 15th at 10 a.m. for $90. A very limited allotment of General Admission tickets are still available for $185, before raising to the last minute price of $199.

FESTY NEWS: Spring Awakening Music Festival In 3 Days! (Map, Daily Schedule, After Parties, & More)

62386_579512992073997_865668063_nIn just a few short days, Curated Music will join our friends at React Presents as well as tens of thousands of others to inhabit the beautiful and massive Chicago Bear’s Soldier Field for the second annual Spring Awakening Music Festival. Taking note from last year, SAMF 2013 promises to impress with an additional day of raging. Captained by Bassnectar, Calvin Harris, and Moby, the 2013 Spring Awakening lineup offers sounds for everyone to dance to and discover. We are very excited to catch all of the action and we will be sure to keep you posted with all things SAMF!

The party can’t stop once Soldier Field closes it’s doors each night, so React Presents is keeping the nights going into the early morning with a handful of epic after parties. Presenting a lineup of shows that are just as impressive as the festival itself, Chicago belongs to Spring Awakening this weekend.

EVENT PREVIEW: Dirtybird Players Hit Detroit’s Movement with Back 2 Back Sets (THIS WILL SELL OUT) [Saturday, May 25th]

With Movement Electronic Music Festival playing host to an expected 100,000 festival goers, the nightlife scene in the city is set for one hell of a weekend. Parties will be raging until the very early hours of the morning in venues all across the city. Standing out as the obvious “must-see” event for the weekend, though, is Nightsneak and RBMA’s Dirtybird Players show, featuring back 2 back sets from Dirtybird front-men Claude Vonstroke vs. Justin Martin, as well as Worthy vs. Leroy Peppers, J. Phlip vs. Kill Frenzy, and Ardalan vs. Justin Jay. This is what we would consider as a “once in a lifetime” chance to catch some of the most fitting tunes of the weekend all under one roof. You can expect to dance, drink, and experience some true dirty Detroit vibes because all of the Players are ready to come out strong come this Saturday. The Dirtybird Players show is an official after party for Movement and will be hosted at the historic and beautiful Fillmore at 2115 Woodward. Tickets are still available here but this event is very likely going to sell out so don’t you sleep on this!

FESTY NEWS: Electric Forest 2013 To Upgrade Size Of Sherwood Forest As ‘Plug In’ Program Allows For More Art (Human Avatar Re-Cap Video)

For the first time since the opening of the Double JJ Ranch as a festival site, the infamous Sherwood Forest will be expanding in size! In honor of the upgrade, the festival has invited artists from all over the globe to participate in the Electric Forest 2013 ‘Plug In’ Program. The program gives participants the chance to have their proposed art installation sponsored and showcased by the festival. Planning on only granting one winner, the support for the program was evidently overwhelming leaving the Plug In team with the chance to select a few more winners. Beginning with The Cerebrum of Sherwood Forest, the first selection, the team will now select 3 new installations to join the Cerebrum creation which is the brainchild of Imago Collective.

Today we are excited to announce the second winner to become sponsored. The Electric Garden installation spawned from the unique and creatively charged minds of Laura Edelman and Dave Sumberg or otherwise known as Das’LaLa. The installation is “an interactive, electronic, touch-sensitive garden that glows brightly upon human touch”. Described as an electroluminescent field, The Electric Garden is guaranteed to be the perfect addition to The Sherwood Forest. We are super stoked to see what the rest of the winners have in store for us.

NEW: Pete Tong Reports To Radio Show With Daft Punk This Friday On BBC Radio One

190459_10151595302909929_1830571278_nAbout 15 minutes ago, Pete Tong took to his Facebook page to announce that Daft Punk will be joining him on the airwaves for this Friday’s edition of his BBC Radio One show. We are not quite clear on the details of the show but we do know that if it is anything like their last BBC visit in 97′ where they recorded their infamous essential mix, we will be in store for a treat. We can hopefully expect to hear some exclusive listens of their upcoming album Random Access Memories and for that we will be sure to stay tuned to our radios come this Friday night at 9 pm.

This year, they plan to top it all with another huge lineup on Chicago’s hottest electronic beachfront festival. The festival, taking place July 5th-7th will feature some of the biggest names in dance music today and is sure to be a hot spot for some amazing and unique opportunities. Think American Ibiza.
