Okay, take every pre-conceived notion you have of Knife Party and throw them out the window. It is time for a re-vamped Knife Party and they are expressing their new sounds through their latest and greatest Haunted House EP available now on all major outlets. The four track EP features tunes that show a new side to the Knife Party project. Featuring sounds that remind us of how much we love to dance, Knife Party has taken a journey through the electro-house side of dance music. The first three tunes of the EP are a roller coaster of bass, 4×4 breaks, and insanely technical synth progressions. The final track, a variation in production of their hit tune “Internet Friends” reminds us of how much damage Knife Party can influence on a sold-out sweaty crowd. When Knife Party comes on the speakers, it’s time to get down!

It’s hard to bring up electronic music without eventually coming to the name Carnage. The founding father and organic branding genius behind his hit remix series of “Festival Trap” bangers, Carnage is also the man behind the hits that can be found on basically every performing dj’s setlist. Recognized by his fans as an artist who is not afraid to express his creative feelings through not only his music but his social media pages, Carnage has spoken out on issues like producers buying into “hype” to become more relevant and the pressures that genres can put on a producer’s arsenal of tunes. Saying what most in the scene are afraid to say, Carnage is here to stir up the pot.
Even if he were to never speak another word though, Carnage’s tunes speak for themselves. Carnage has a very unique way of getting any environment turned into a massive party. His high-energy packed sets rival Tiesto and SHM as far as giving the audience that… feeling. A producer and performer of just about everything, Carnage has deserving collaborations with artists like A$AP Rocky, Gucci Mane, Waka Flocka Flame, Borgore, and the great Kaskade. There isn’t much Carnage hasn’t touched and those left undisturbed will only rest for so long until Carnage comes to bring the rage.
Carnage kicked off his “I’m Fucking Pumped” Tour last week with a special performance in Detroit and will continue on to perform on dozens of stops across the globe including dates in USA, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Ukraine, and Amsterdam, as well as announced festival appearances at Spring Awakening Music Festival, Sunset Music Festival, and EDC Vegas. With tons of new music coming soon, Carnage is proud to be releasing his upcoming single entitled “Signal” TOMORROW, May 3rd on Spinnin’ Records.
We were fortunate enough to be able to take the time to chat and catch up with Carnage the other day and we wanted to let you all in on our conversation. There was much to be excited about when Wakarusa festival released Brooklyn producer D.V.S.’s new collab track “Sleepwalker” yesterday. The song features dreamy vocals from Cherub and eerie violin from Govinda. The cloudy feeling of the melody has inspired me to begin formulating my “Hazy Summer” playlist.
Speaking of clouds, Sleepwalker is the opening track of D.V.S.’s full album Hit the Clouds Running EP released today. The entire album seems more uplifted in spirits than some of D.V.S.’s earlier, harder tracks. Up-beat dance tempos and Ratatat sounding guitars bring sparkling images to the mind. I can especially appreciate the track Heartmaps for its modern disco feel. Trapsody in Blue is a trip and it is exactly 4:20 long – go figure. Hit the Clouds Running is available now for listen or name your own price download from bandcamp. Give it a listen, it is sure to make you feel all tingly inside.

There are clearly no rules that Yellow Claw adhere to when producing a track. Always on point and mixed to perfection, the Amsterdam based trill trio have been showing the world that genres are meant to be broken. Take note from Yellow Claw because these guys are staying true. Coming out with tunes and mixes on the regular, Yellow Claw has dropped a collaboration with fellow Netherlands resident and bad ass producer Cesqeaux. Their song “IBETCHU” features a complete hybrid of gangster trap style sounds mixed with insane hard-dance breaks. The track is absolutely bonkers and is definitely one for the late night, teeth-grinding, dance floor vibes. Check out the tune and keep your eyes out for new material from both Yellow Claw and Cesqeaux! ENJOY!

Last spring, The M Machine dropped Metropolis Pt. I on their fans. The EP was the breakthrough that the swanky trio needed to reach the levels they are experiencing now. Well deserved, The M Machine have toured the world and gained support from basically the entire dance music scene over the past year. Their sounds and live performances have increased in quality by tenfold yet they are just at the very beginning of the global dance music takeover it seems they have planned. It is now February of 2013 and The M Machine have unloaded Metropolis Pt. II for the world to hear and dance to. The six track EP features the most melodic and well composed tracks that we have heard from an “edm” group in quite some time. The San Francisco based producer threesome take their listeners on a epic voyage of sound and emotion. Producing music that reminds us of old school classical ballads or epic movie scores, The M Machine are on some high energy levels. It is very evident that The M Machine spent the time to polish and perfect their latest release. You can purchase the EP from any major outlet or have a listen on their Soundcloud page. Either way, make sure you have your volume as loud as it gets. Cheers!
