Well crack a fresh pack because Tittsworth & Willy Joy have teamed up on a tune that is pre-dripped in sweat and bodily fluids from a night of straight bumping, grinding, and raving on a 110 degree dancefloor. Memorial Day weekend in Detroit marks perhaps the best time of the year to see our city shine. With Movement Electronic Music Festival playing host to an expected 100,000 festival goers, the nightlife scene in the city is set for one hell of a weekend. Parties will be raging until the very early hours of the morning in venues all across the city. Standing out as the obvious “must-see” event for the weekend, though, is Nightsneak and RBMA’s Dirtybird Players show, featuring back 2 back sets from Dirtybird front-men Claude Vonstroke vs. Justin Martin, as well as Worthy vs. Leroy Peppers, J. Phlip vs. Kill Frenzy, and Ardalan vs. Justin Jay. This is what we would consider as a “once in a lifetime” chance to catch some of the most fitting tunes of the weekend all under one roof. You can expect to dance, drink, and experience some true dirty Detroit vibes because all of the Players are ready to come out strong come this Saturday. The Dirtybird Players show is an official after party for Movement and will be hosted at the historic and beautiful Fillmore at 2115 Woodward. Tickets are still available here but this event is very likely going to sell out so don’t you sleep on this!

About 15 minutes ago, Pete Tong took to his Facebook page to announce that Daft Punk will be joining him on the airwaves for this Friday’s edition of his BBC Radio One show. We are not quite clear on the details of the show but we do know that if it is anything like their last BBC visit in 97′ where they recorded their infamous essential mix, we will be in store for a treat. We can hopefully expect to hear some exclusive listens of their upcoming album Random Access Memoriesand for that we will be sure to stay tuned to our radios come this Friday night at 9 pm.

Okay, take every pre-conceived notion you have of Knife Party and throw them out the window. It is time for a re-vamped Knife Party and they are expressing their new sounds through their latest and greatest Haunted House EP available now on all major outlets. The four track EP features tunes that show a new side to the Knife Party project. Featuring sounds that remind us of how much we love to dance, Knife Party has taken a journey through the electro-house side of dance music. The first three tunes of the EP are a roller coaster of bass, 4×4 breaks, and insanely technical synth progressions. The final track, a variation in production of their hit tune “Internet Friends” reminds us of how much damage Knife Party can influence on a sold-out sweaty crowd. When Knife Party comes on the speakers, it’s time to get down!
Very few remix producers can consistently impress us the way that Flechette has over the past few months. Beginning with huge Nero and Gesaffelstein remixes, Flechette is quickly making a name for themselves by creating some of the most massive tune takeovers we have ever witnessed. Now, Flechette has done a number on a very housy tune by Boxon Records artist, Polen on the tune “Would You“. Part of an official remix compilation, Flechette is the standout on the release. From start to finish, this track will have you feinding for a blunt and a double cup. Flechette is in the business of keeping it gangster and they are damn good at it. You can purchase this tune now and bump it loud!
