SHOW REVIEW: GRiZ @ St. Andrews Hall with Freddy Todd, Jaws That Bite, iNov8, & Ternidup – 12/21

GRiZ

Just last Friday, GRiZ came home to rock a sold out crowd of 1200+ at St. Andrews Hall in Detroit, Michigan. Backed by Paxahau and Movement Electronic Music Festival with promotions from Curated Music, the show brought world class productions to the historic venue. Smash Brother’s Entertainment & Vger VJ provided some powerful lasers and extreme visuals. The party rocked two levels of the complex, featuring Jaws That Bite, Freddy Todd, & of course GRiZ in the main hall plus iNov8 & Ternidup crushing the overflow crowd in the Shelter. The venue was nuts all night, getting down to tracks old and new, original and borrowed, including a little track called “Tequila” which landed in his set thanks to badman Dillon Francis. GRiZ was not shy to the crowd, answering calls to man the saxophone and giving the loving audience a  rockstar stage dive & crowd surf. Even GRiZ’s Mom showed up.

If we learned anything from the night, it is that GRiZ is going to sell out almost every show he appears at. He is one of the best artists to see live right now and is continuing to push the limits of live performance and production. Curated Music is excited to watch GRiZ grow! Keep him in your headphones and on your 2013 radar!
