WE PICK OUR 5 ACTS NOT TO SKIP AT MOVEMENT:

We have no problem admitting that our favorite city festival is hands down Movement Electronic Music Festival. The annual celebration of dance music continuously curates the best programming of the Summer, while always finding great ways to bring exciting innovations to their stages and surroundings. This year, we are stunned with the caliber of talent lined up for the Memorial Day bash. It’s not easy to pick our 5 favorites but below, we do just that. Check out the five artists that we don’t think you should miss at Movement:

5. Richie Hawtin (Saturday)

Somewhat of a Movement tradition, Richie Hawtin has played the festival many times, and this year he will return to the spotlight for what is always a crowd drawing set. The techno lord will not disappoint.

4. Maya Jane Coles (Sunday)

This little lady sure knows her stuff. The British house queen fits right in with the Movement feel, and will definitely be welcomed with a large dancing crowd after a few year hiatus from the fest’s lineup. Maya Jane Coles is back for 2015, and is not to be missed!

3. Hudson Mohawke (Sunday)

Another Movement vet, Hudson Mohawke returns to Hart Plaza for the first time since 2011. Always bringing the most futuristic sounds in the bass world, HudMo is sure to have some new tunes up his sleeve. Get ready to have your mind blown and don’t miss Hudson Mohawke!

2. Tuskegee (Seth Troxler B2B The Martinez Brothers) [Saturday]

Named after their label of the same moniker, Seth Troxler and The Martinez Brothers are teaming up for an extremely special and rare B2B performance. There aren’t very many places more fitting for this set then Movement, and it’s certain to be a big one. Do not miss Tuskegee!

1. GRiZ (Monday)

You could have guessed it. Our hometown funk hero, GRiZ returns to the Movement stage for a mighty performance. Having recently released his Say It Loud album, GRiZ is full of new material ready to unleash on a starry eyed Movement crowd. Catch GRiZ and thank us later!
