It’s very safe to say that Grassroots California is our favorite clothing brand here at Curated Music and we aren’t afraid to show it. Working on spreading their movement for the last few years, the relatively small clothing company has grown into a staple in our culture all while opening up their flagship store, producing an international hash competition, and traveling across the world to festivals and events to keep the movement, well, moving. We have loved watching them grow and have looked up to GRC since our conception. Over the years, along with every graduating aspect, the designs have transformed as well. Today, Grassroots California seems to be launching new products at a rate that is on par with a rooster’s eggs. This year alone, we saw hundreds of new designs, styles, and textiles from the company. That is why we have decided to compile our five favorite hats from 2013. Check out our list below and let us know what your favorites are!
5. Official Movement Electronic Music Festival Hat
While, yes, the design is super dope, and the colors flow perfectly. We have to admit, the inclusion of this hat is more because we are SO PROUD of this collaboration. To see GRC team up with our hometown fam festival, Movement Electronic Music Festival, almost brought tears to our eyes. We hope this is just the start of a new annual tradition, because we can only imagine how the future Movement hats will turn out!

4. Elfkowitz Hat
If you know Elfkowitz, you know how much he loves his Coogi. Grassroots California really played on that with this one. The design is so fly, they couldn’t keep 2 different versions of the snapback in stock. These guys flew off the shelf quick. Look at them & you will see why! #Fire

3. Official 710 Cup Spectator Hat
Sort of in the same group as the Movement hat, we are just so excited to see the 710 Cup come to fruition that the actual existence of this hat blows our minds. One year ago, we couldn’t imagine GRC producing their own event of this scale, yet they have exceeded our expectations with success this past July. David Bywater designed all of the logo work for the 710 Cup and that is what we can find on the official lid. We are very excited for The 710 Cup 2014!

2. Official Genius – Polar Freeze
This snapback speaks for itself. The limited edition (only 420 made) collaboration with street wear brand, Official Genius, is a perfect match for your Jordan Grapes and is sure to turn heads.

1. Wingtip Cheetah Hat – Blue
We grabbed this hat in Madison this year and basically haven’t taken it off since. This hat has it all. Between the insane visual prints laid on the softest velvet and leather emblem, this hat truly feels good to wear. This hat, coming straight out of the GRC design labs, is a piece of art. It’s also extremely soft! #Roar
