NEW TUNE: K Theory & Chrome Wolves – “Stutter” (FREE Download)

Teaming up for a colossal collaboration, K Theory & Chrome Wolves have dropped a hot one on us. The resulting tune, “Stutter” takes us on an adventure through a tightly fused combination of bass, electro, and trap, all while encompassing the original Joe & Mystikal effect to the T. This new tune is eloquent as can be. The intensity of the tune makes it perfect for any high-energy environment. We could picture this tune bumping at an And1 Bball tourney while we could also see this one blasting in the bedroom. Coupled with just about as much anticipation as one single album can contain, Daft Punks upcoming Random Access Memories album will clearly be one of the most critically acclaimed albums of the past years. Now, we are blessed to be able to purchase the first single from the album, “Get Lucky“. The tune which features Pharrell Williams and also some studio work from Nile Rogers (pretty sure), is everything we have wanted from Daft Punk. It is as if they took the last 6 years to slow cook this album into a succulent and perfected gem. NEW TUNE: Freddy Todd – “RAW’D” (Till I Die) Feat. Note [Off Upcoming 'Moonflavours' Album Out 4/25]

Next week, on April 25th, Freddy will drop the latest addition to his already flexing catalog through the form of a free album entitled Moonflavours.  Described as his “more chill release”, Freddy gives us a glimpse of what we can expect with the first single to surface from the release dubbed “RAW’D” (Till I Die) featuring San Diego’s Note. Freddy puts the “hop” back in “glitch-hop” with this one meshing together hip-hop and electro-glitchy vibes on one solid track; something that so far, we find only FT can master. The track is available for stream and will be available next week for FREE download with the rest of the Moonflavours album in entirety. For now, warm up your subs because it’s about to get bumpy!

Two of Chicago’s heavyweights, Team Bayside High & Willy Joy, teamed up to produce this tune and we are quite the fan. Turning the electro banger into a trap adaptation, the two production entities have polished this bootleg into a tune that will get the dance-floor poppin’ with nostalgia and energy. NEW TUNE: TNGHT – “Acrylics”

Lunice & Hudson Mohawke a.k.a TNGHT have released an incredibly bangin’ track entitled Acrylics. I’m not too sure what type of extra-curricular activities these Canadian/Euro producers participate in while they are collaborating however, I encourage them to keep it up because the end results make me want to never sleep again. The mega trap beat is the most appropriate soundtrack for a battle between alien dinosaurs and zombie sea creatures during the second coming of Christ. As one listener’s comment on soundcloud suggested, it is music for “the boss level on Mario.”  Boss indeed. If you like this song, I recommend you listen to TNGHT’s self-titled EP. With 172,111 plays in 2 days on Soundcloud, I expect to hear bits of Acrylics in many late-night tent trap DJ sets this summer. Rage!

NEW TUNE: Pretty Lights – “Around The Block” Ft. Talib Kweli (First Single Off New Album ‘A Color Map Of The Sun’ With Music Video + More) [FREE Download]

NEW TUNE: Late Night Radio – “Mood Swings” (FREE Download)

artworks-000045007609-uvqgo9-t500x500There are very few emerging producers that have me as excited as Late Night Radio.  December marked the release Concrete Collage, and while most artists take a little breather from posting new material on soundcloud after an EP release, LNR has been dishing out the music full force.  The past few months since Concrete Collage he’s dropped a mix, two collaborations with Robotic Pirate Monkey, and tons of singles.

The amount of music dropped still isn’t as impressive as the uniqueness of each song and the quality of production, this holds true for his latest single, Mood Swings.  This epic track captures Late Night Radio’s signature sound with a blend of a groovin’ hip hop beat, a massive synth driving the song, and soulful samples run through some LNR magic making them both eerie and beautiful.  Mood Swings is the perfect track to put on while kickin it with the homies, or getting your rage face on in preparation for festival season.

Late Night Radio has been keeping busy with shows in the Denver area, opening for big names like GRiZ and Michal Menert.  He’s also the line up for this summer’s highly anticipated 710 Cup.  All of his music is available for free on his soundcloud.   Make sure to follow him, because he’s dropping awesome new tunes all the time.
