Boom the first official remix from GRiZ’s break through album Mad Liberation has made it’s way into our speakers and it is in the form of a rework from legendary DJ Green Lantern on the hit track “Too Young For Tragedy”. The remix encompasses all things trap to the fullest and could potentially feature a break that could be as hot as Baauer’s “Harlem Shake”. The remix, premiered exclusively by our friends at This Song Is Sick, is available for FREE download. Make sure you grab it and bump it loud!
Teaming up for a colossal collaboration, K Theory & Chrome Wolves have dropped a hot one on us. The resulting tune, “Stutter” takes us on an adventure through a tightly fused combination of bass, electro, and trap, all while encompassing the original Joe & Mystikal effect to the T. This new tune is eloquent as can be. The intensity of the tune makes it perfect for any high-energy environment. We could picture this tune bumping at an And1 Bball tourney while we could also see this one blasting in the bedroom. Either way, we are very impressed with the collaboration and we hope to hear more from K Theory and Chrome Wolves. Check out the tune and grab your FREE download!

FINALLY!!!!! We can all celebrate a bit because Daft Punk has finally and officially resurfaced! Coupled with just about as much anticipation as one single album can contain, Daft Punks upcomingRandom Access Memories album will clearly be one of the most critically acclaimed albums of the past years. Now, we are blessed to be able to purchase the first single from the album, “Get Lucky“. The tune which features Pharrell Williams and also some studio work from Nile Rogers (pretty sure), is everything we have wanted from Daft Punk. It is as if they took the last 6 years to slow cook this album into a succulent and perfected gem. We will be keeping you posted with all Daft Punk news but for now, check out “Get Lucky” to hold you over!

The world of glitch hop better hold tight to it’s seat because Freddy Todd is about to drop a heater on us. Next week, on April 25th, Freddy will drop the latest addition to his already flexing catalog through the form of a free album entitled Moonflavours. Described as his “more chill release”, Freddy gives us a glimpse of what we can expect with the first single to surface from the release dubbed “RAW’D” (Till I Die) featuring San Diego’s Note. Freddy puts the “hop” back in “glitch-hop” with this one meshing together hip-hop and electro-glitchy vibes on one solid track; something that so far, we find only FT can master. The track is available for stream and will be available next week for FREE download with the rest of the Moonflavours album in entirety. For now, warm up your subs because it’s about to get bumpy!

Many have attempted and all have failed until now. Finally, we have heard a good remix/bootleg of Bassment Jaxx‘s classic hit “Where’s Your Head At“. Two of Chicago’s heavyweights, Team Bayside High & Willy Joy, teamed up to produce this tune and we are quite the fan. Turning the electro banger into a trap adaptation, the two production entities have polished this bootleg into a tune that will get the dance-floor poppin’ with nostalgia and energy. We hope to hear this tune in a live set soon! Enjoy this classic and make sure to grab your free download!
There is something magical in the air when L D R U is blasting through our speakers. Following a pack of well received originals, remixes, and mixes, this Aussie bass manipulator is on the verge of making a huge name for himself with his latest tune entitled “Cocus“. Featuring sounds that place our energies on a beach in some tropical country, we are stuck in the warming Midwest left only to dance and dream. “Cocus” radiates a sunshine feel and is guaranteed to turn any frown upside down. This is the type of tune that you would hear at the end credits of a dank episode of Entourage. You could say that we were basically waiting at the edge of our seats for this new tune from L D R U and we will be back on the edge until the next drop. Available for free download, this track should be snatched up instantly. We hope you enjoy what you hear!

Strap on your space boots boys and girls, it’s time to get stompin! Lunice & Hudson Mohawke a.k.a TNGHT have released an incredibly bangin’ track entitled Acrylics. I’m not too sure what type of extra-curricular activities these Canadian/Euro producers participate in while they are collaborating however, I encourage them to keep it up because the end results make me want to never sleep again. The mega trap beat is the most appropriate soundtrack for a battle between alien dinosaurs and zombie sea creatures during the second coming of Christ. As one listener’s comment on soundcloud suggested, it is music for “the boss level on Mario.” Boss indeed. If you like this song, I recommend you listen to TNGHT’s self-titled EP. With 172,111 plays in 2 days on Soundcloud, I expect to hear bits of Acrylics in many late-night tent trap DJ sets this summer. Rage!
Derek Vincent Smith, also known as the one and only Pretty Lights, has released his first single “Around the Block” from his up and coming album: A Color Map of the Sun. A Color Map of the Sun will be out on July 2nd and each song from the album will have a music video to show a little bit of how the song was produced and some live show footage. There is also an awesome short video on PLM’s website about the making of the new album which will then be released as a full documentary. Keep your eyes open because this summer is about to be off the charts hot days, cool beats and rhythmic lights.
There are very few emerging producers that have me as excited as Late Night Radio. December marked the release Concrete Collage, and while most artists take a little breather from posting new material on soundcloud after an EP release, LNR has been dishing out the music full force. The past few months since Concrete Collage he’s dropped a mix, two collaborations with Robotic Pirate Monkey, and tons of singles.
The amount of music dropped still isn’t as impressive as the uniqueness of each song and the quality of production, this holds true for his latest single, Mood Swings. This epic track captures Late Night Radio’s signature sound with a blend of a groovin’ hip hop beat, a massive synth driving the song, and soulful samples run through some LNR magic making them both eerie and beautiful. Mood Swings is the perfect track to put on while kickin it with the homies, or getting your rage face on in preparation for festival season.
Late Night Radio has been keeping busy with shows in the Denver area, opening for big names like GRiZ and Michal Menert. He’s also the line up for this summer’s highly anticipated 710 Cup. All of his music is available for free on his soundcloud. Make sure to follow him, because he’s dropping awesome new tunes all the time.
