Memorial Day weekend in Detroit marks perhaps the best time of the year to see our city shine. With Movement Electronic Music Festival playing host to an expected 100,000 festival goers, the nightlife scene in the city is set for one hell of a weekend. Parties will be raging until the very early hours of the morning in venues all across the city. Standing out as the obvious “must-see” event for the weekend, though, is Nightsneak and RBMA’s Dirtybird Players show, featuring back 2 back sets from Dirtybird front-men Claude Vonstroke vs. Justin Martin, as well as Worthy vs. Leroy Peppers, J. Phlip vs. Kill Frenzy, and Ardalan vs. Justin Jay. This is what we would consider as a “once in a lifetime” chance to catch some of the most fitting tunes of the weekend all under one roof. You can expect to dance, drink, and experience some true dirty Detroit vibes because all of the Players are ready to come out strong come this Saturday. The Dirtybird Players show is an official after party for Movement and will be hosted at the historic and beautiful Fillmore at 2115 Woodward. Tickets are still available here but this event is very likely going to sell out so don’t you sleep on this!
It’s May in Detroit and it’s about to get even hotter. Curated Music is teaming up with our friends at War Torn Entertainment to present “Trapped In Detroit”, a very special event founded around the love for future bass music. Headlining the night are the good homies Willy Joy, BUKU, Regulators, and Great Dane with local support from Satta Don Dada, Deklo, and Dogfingaz. To spice things up a bit, we asked our friends from Prime Social Group to jump on board and add this to The Path on their “Trail To The Forest” series. Expect tons of Electric Forest themed surprises all night long. The night is hosted at the beautiful river-front Sinbads venue and will be bumping until the wee hours of the morning. You can grab your tickets now and let all of your friends know that the best place to get ready for Movement Electronic Music Festival weekend is with Curated Music on Friday, May 24th for “Trapped In Detroit” with Willy Joy, BUKU, Regulators, Great Dane on the ‘Trail To The Forest’ at Sinbads!
When we heard that our favorite side project duo EVER, aka PANTyRAiD, aka Ooah (of The Glitch Mob) and MartyParty, were coming to play a special performance through our friends at My Best Friends Party in Columbus Ohio, we knew we could not miss out on the action. So we are going to head down to visit out neighbors to the South on such a joyous occasion that is a PANTyRAiD performance. The show is at The Bluestone and will feature support from Attak & Carma as well as Eric Evasion and many others. Tickets are still available online (and while they last at doors) but you can test your luck by entering our contest to WIN A PAIR OF TICKETS to see PANTyRAiD in their first ever Ohio appearance.
Next week, East Lansing, Michigan will become one big party. It isn’t March Madness and it isn’t Spring Break, but it’s much larger than that: it’s global electronic dance music sensation Kaskade, and he is ready to take the Michigan State University town and own it. It is about time that the beautifully progressive electronic listening community of East Lansing got an event of this caliber. The event, produced by RECESS, will feature local support from Project K and will showcase way more than just dank music with “a progressive speaker series featuring leading entrepreneurs discussing a variety of topics including innovation, startups, personal branding, and career obstacles.” There will also be a career fair running in line with the speaker series all put together by Intern Sushi. Tickets are still available online. We hope to see you there!
We are very excited for this event and to share our anticipation, we would like to GIVEAWAY A FREE PAIR OF TICKETS to one lucky winner! To enter the contest, check out the box below:
