NEW MIX: TWONK TEAM – Vol. 1 (Brillz, Craze, Willy Joy, & ETC! ETC!) [FREE Download]

artworks-000046298083-tla63t-t500x500Four of our favorite artists have teamed up for what seems to be a new mix series dubbed TWONK TEAM Vol. 1 led by badman Brillz who dropped his debut album entitled Twonk last month and backed by fellow producers Craze, Willy Joy, & ETC! ETC!. Each artist has 20 minutes on the mix to drop their take on the hottest tunes right now. All together, the 80 minutes that ensues is perhaps the greatest consecutive set of bass banging tracks we have heard in quite some time. The four artists leave very little untouched, expounding on their favorite dancefloor hits of all genres from artists big and small. We hope this is just the first of many TWONK TEAM mixes. NEW MIX: Minnesota: ‘Eternal Frequencies: Equinox’ Promo Mix (FREE Download)

479827_545146805526203_16391634_nOne of our favorite producers, Minnesota takes you on a journey through this space-hop promo mix for his new EP, Eternal Frequencies: Equinox.  The mix includes 7 remixed and original songs in which 2 of the gems will be featured on the new EP.  The mix starts off with a spacey chilled intro then ends you off with some Wu-Tang hip-hop style vibes.  How awesome is that? You can download the mix from Minnesota’s Facebook page and stream it from his Soundcloud as well.

Eternal Frequencies: Equinox will be released on April 1st, but you can sign up for Minnesota’s newsletter and be able to get the EP 3 days beforehand by visiting his website. Make sure to check Minnesota in a city near you and at music festivals this summer.  Just remember to bring your dancing shoes and a dancing buddy cause this 23 year old producer knows how to make you shake it.

NEW MIX: Marcutio – ‘AlwaysWakingUp (March)’ [40-Min Mix - FREE Download]

artworks-000042729020-075iam-t500x500I have been listening to fellow Michigander Marcutio’s Soundcloudfondly lately and I must say I am quite impressed with his latest “Always Waking Up” mix. I can describe the 41 minute jar of kushsauce as modern, exciting, unique and dirty yet classy at the same time. I could throw on this mix for occasions ranging from an old fashioned smoke sesh at the crib, to going hard at the gym, to getting weird.

Although several artists have been remixing/sampling Kendrick Lamar’s Swimming Pools,  Marcutio’s hyphy interpretation of the popular song as the second facet of the mix is executed quite tastefully  He continues with Ill Esha’s “Foreign Emotions“ and from there on out the mix stays pretty ill when its not being trippy. With a stack featuring Marcutio originals as well as snippets from artists featuring Modeselektor and closing with a Marcutio remix of Freddy Todd & Black Mic’s Dopesauce I must say I have mad respect for this mix. Plus, it is still available for free download!. If you like what you hear, I encourage you to check out Marcutio’s Honey EP available for listen or download on Bandcamp.

NEW MIX: Project Aspect – ‘LIVE 2013′ Winter Mix (1-Hour FREE Download)

Bringing us his latest creation, a one hour live mix, Project Aspect is supplying us with the heat we need to get us through the last couple months of Winter.
