NEW RELEASES: The Polish Ambassador – ‘Ecozoic’ Song Releases (FREE Download)

Future space beat producer, The Polish Ambassador is at it again and he is bringing some new organic sounds in his upcoming album: Ecozoic. The album will be out on May 7th and a new track will be leaked every Tuesday leading up to the release date. Four songs have been set free and they are pretty damn golden. “New Funk Millenium” is a chilled out tune that gives you some of those sexy Superpowers vibes while “Invisible Frontiers” brings you that TPA known glitchy beat. “Two and a Half Moons Away” features reggae island beats and “Rootshire Revival” blends swing, blues, and hip-hop in that way that only TPA can master. We aren’t quite sure when Ecozoic will wrap up, but we will continue to keep you posted. Be sure to keep your eyes on The Polish Ambassador every Tuesday! FESTY NEWS: Lollapalooza 2013 Insane Full Lineup Leaked

It is always exciting reading through Lollapalooza’s past classic and huge lineups and this year seems to be just as satisfying. Leaked from sources unknown, this picture of the supposed 2013 Lollapalooza lineup confirms that Chicago has another massive festival coming to it’s city. Tickets for Lolla went on sale this past Tuesday with general admission selling out in a matter of hours. Lollapalooza scheduled their official lineup announcement for April 6th, but this photo is just as good as real.

Headlined by The Killers, Nine Inch Nails, Phoenix, Postal Service, and many other huge names, Lolla will also feature electronic artists like Dillon Francis, Flux Pavilion, Knife Party, and our favorite out of the whole lineup: GRiZ!

Lollapalooza will be held August 2-4 in Chicago at Grant Park. Single day, VIP, platinum, and travel packages still available.

NEW MIX: Minnesota: ‘Eternal Frequencies: Equinox’ Promo Mix (FREE Download)

One of our favorite producers, Minnesota takes you on a journey through this space-hop promo mix for his new EP, Eternal Frequencies: Equinox. The mix includes 7 remixed and original songs in which 2 of the gems will be featured on the new EP. The mix starts off with a spacey chilled intro then ends you off with some Wu-Tang hip-hop style vibes. How awesome is that? NEW RELEASE: Major Lazer – ‘Lazer Strikes Back’ Volumes 1-3 (FREE Download) [Pre-Order ‘Free The Universe’]

Party starters Major Lazer has a new album coming out on April 16th entitled Free The Universe. Expected to be one of the largest electronic releases of the past few years (behind the upcoming Random Access Memories of course), Free The Universe has been highly anticipated from fans, critics, and fellow artists alike. Originally set and planned to be released by now, Diplo and team Major Lazer want to be sure that ‘FTU’ is perfected and marketed to the T. Our fans are the most important part of what makes Major Lazer what it is. It is with that consideration that “FREE THE UNIVERSE” will not be released this month as previously scheduled. We never want to disappoint our supporters but circumstances out of our control have made us unable to keep the intended date. For anyone disappointed, we are truly apologetic and we promise that this hiccup has only made what we have planned for the album stronger. We tried extremely hard to keep the date but it was ultimately decided that rushing the album would have been unfair to you and everyone who worked so hard on it. An iTunes exclusive pre-order in the US will launch next Tuesday, 2/26 which will feature an instant grat download of “Watch Out for This (Bumaye).”

NEW TUNE: Donkong – “Turn It Up” (‘WTF IS MOLLY GRIT EP’) [FREE Download]

This tune dropped a bit ago and it may be the beginning to a new sub-genre revolution. Backed and presented by Mad Decent and their blog, tribal bass lord Donkong dropped his tune “Turn It Up” a.k.a. WTF IS MOLLY GRIT EP for free download through his Facebook page. Donkong is exploding on the bass electronic music circuit and is destined to be a very respected name in every producers playlist. As for molly grit, the words from the song posting explain it best:

“Molly Grit is a music TAG that mixes the molecular base of trap, moombahton, juke, dubstep , and tropical bass sounds. Based on slang terminology it can be the molecular core for anything. And that ‘s exactly what it is, sonic ecstasy.

The newest, most exciting form of bass that has been around for months; In fact; made by hundreds of producers all over the place, although their description falls flat in giving an accurate term. Do not confuse it with Zouk Bass, which mostly is a highly influenced version of Tarraxinha with bass elements. Both have common elements, but when you listen closely, you will hear big differences.”

NEW TUNE: Samples – “Sail Trap” (FREE Download)

When you read the words “Enya” and “trap” in a song title, you know it’s going to be interesting. In Ben Samples’s bootleg remix of the 1988 Enya tune “Orinoco Flow” (Sail Away), the Denver based artist takes on the role of Dr. Jekyll, fusing rotting parts of the grotesque song to create a monster that contains elements of the original evil, but turns out to be a lovable new being for those who can look beyond their initial disgust. A trap monster named Sail Trap.

Samples completely captures the airy, floating melodic vibes of the original track but somehow mixes it flawlessly with the badass rhythm of the dirtiest trap. Only by listening to and watching the music video for the original Enya song does the skill and creativity of Samples’ work in Sail Trap fully become clear. By melding the hideously 80’s chart-topper with brilliant low-down slowed-down trap breaks, Samples almost eliminates the hilarity of the Enya sample, giving us the light and listenable product: “Sail Trap”.

He begins the track with the simplistic and playful melody of Orinoco Flow, but gives it a heartbeat with some cascading snares and bass. He introduces a dubby build that ends with the gospel-esque Enya “ahh” before dropping into the “sail away” sample. Just as the horrible realization that the Enya song really has come back to life sets in, however, Samples forces us to re-imagine the intensely soft song as he builds up and then drops into the hard trap break. The track gets even better from there, eventually using the infectiously upbeat “sail away” sample to inexplicably complement the trap breaks. I dare you not to smile as you get low to this one.

The young Alex Young has been impressing crowds and listeners for several months now. Getting through high-school isn’t the only challenge for Alex as his touring schedule and production life grows busier. We are excited to watch such a young talented producer develop as an artist. Today we are bringing you his remix of BenZel’s tune “Fallin’ Love“. Alex Young takes the beautiful tune and warps it into a poppy yet trappy bass track.
