NEW TUNE: Bro Safari – “The Drop” (FREE Download)

Gosh we really love Bro Safari. His productions are reaching levels that will take him to great heights. We are excited to watch this guy do his thing! Today, Bro Safari gave us a dose of his trap medicine that he has been cooking up recently and we are getting down hard! The new tune “The Drop” is available for FREE download. These are some BIG tunes coming out of Texas! Below is what Bro Safari wrote to explain his love for his fans:

“Whenever I write a new song, I always want to get it out for people to hear immediately. I’m directly inspired by the music that others are making and also by everything else happening around me, so it makes sense that when I write something new, I should let it be heard as quickly as possible… right? A product of its environment.

That’s what I did here. I wrote this song over the last week and immediately thought to give it away on Soundcloud, as quickly as possible.

You’ve all been really good to me, so I’ll keep doing this as often as possible without compromising the quality of the material that I’m giving away. I definitely don’t want to just hand you guys “filler” tracks. Anyway, I have a lot of music in the pipeline, so there won’t be any shortage of material from me in 2013.

NEW TUNE: Datsik – “Nuke ‘Em” (Protohype Remix) [FREE Download]

It has been a minute since we have listened to a heavy bass tune that made us grind our teeth and say “DAMN”. That minute is over. Protohype was asked by Datsik to remix his track “Nuke ‘Em” and Protohype really did an outstanding job. Taking the already banging tune and refreshing its madness, this remix is super dark and grimey. The L.A. bass producer Protohype has had a busy year thus far touring all over the country with fellow bass expert Minnesota as well as performing on festivals and large scale one offs often. No word on weather or not this will be apart of a larger remix compilation but we do know that we are going to take advantage of this FREE download and whip this track hard. NEW TUNE: Crywolf & Ianborg – “Oceans” (FREE Download)

I think we may have uncovered the most beautifully produced bass track of the year right here with this fresh collaboration from Crywolf & Ianborg entitled “Oceans” which dropped yesterday on Le Castle Vania’s ‘Always Never Records‘ for FREE download. The tune features dazzling vocals over a perfectly mastered and leveled heavy bass beat. Extremely heavy on compression, this song side-chains our hearts and gives us overwhelmingly emotional vibes that make us want to dance our pains away. The piano in the tune adds the icing on the cake that takes the tune from a club track to an angelic ballad. You can tell both Crywolf and Ianborg put their all into this tune and we give them praise. Crywolf’s debut Ghosts EP will also be dropping on Always Never Records soon and we are most definitely geeked for that. It is very fitting when producers like Two Fresh team up with up-and-coming hip-hop emcees like Purple Monk and Miyagi from Ziggurat Records. This tune, entitled “ALOHA” shows how true Two Fresh really are. Taking an old-school elevator esque ditty and turning it into a flossed out hip-hop beat, Two Fresh set this one up for pals Purple Monk and Miyagi and they hit a home run. Originally posted exclusively through ThisSongIsSick.com, this tune is everything we look for in a hip-hop song. For now, this shit will stay underground but everybody better brace for a full world takeover by Two Fresh and every other producer doing what they do and staying true to their roots. FESTY NEWS: BUKU Music + Art Project Is About To Takeover New Orleans (March 8th & 9th)

It is about time to kick off festival season. We are less then ten days away from raging at BUKU Music + Art Project in New Orleans. The second year festival is gearing up to play host to one of the biggest lineups in the South for two days during March 8th and 9th. We are making the trip to bring you all the exclusive coverage we can get. Taking over Mardi Gras World in the historic warehouse district of downtown New Orleans, BUKU will include the three stages from last year (The Power Plant, The Riverfront, and The Ballroom) as well as a brand new stage named The Float Den which will feature huge float props and an amazing Mardi Gras atmosphere. VIP ticket holders will have access to the S.S. BUKU late nights with performances including Two Fresh, Sir Charles, Salva, plus many more. All in all, BUKU Music + Art Project is shaping up to be a very unique experience compared to your typical festival. Diplo will be making a special official after party apperance on March 9th at Republic New Orleans. You can purchase tickets for the after party when they go on sale on 2/27 at 11am.
