CM Talks With GRiZ, Minnesota, & Michal Menert About Sonic Bloom 2012

With Sonic Bloom 2012 fast approaching, Curated Music has decided to give our friends, GRiZ, Minnesota, and Michal Menert a call to hear first-hand, their expectations on this prime Colorado electronic music festival. Returning home from performances at Lightning in a Bottle, Summer Camp, and Movement festivals, Minnesota had a moment to share his excitement about performing at his first Sonic Bloom and being on the bill with fellow producers, PantyRaid, Tipper, and of course, Random Rab‘s infamous Sunrise Set “It’s one of the festivals I’m most excited about this season”, said Minnesota, “I’m planning to put a lot of time into my set … I’m definitely going to be bringing my A-game to this festival.” Colorado is a meaningful venue for GRiZ, “I love playing out there”, he exclaims, “Stylistically its a perfect fit”. Headlined by artists Tipper, Bonobo, and PantyRaid, Sonic Bloom curated the finest lineup in bass music and experimental electronic music from home in Colorado to across the country. “More of my friends are playing this year”, Michal Menert explains the potential for surprise guest appearances, “It’s a cool way to bring together what used to happen at festivals… artists sitting in with each other… someone just jumps on set with somebody”. Sonic Bloom promises to be full of surprises. “I’m possibly playing some auxiliary sets around the Sonic Bloom festival grounds all weekend.” GRiZ reveals. Menert also discloses, “Me and Paul Basic are going to be breaking our sets into some Half Color stuff… Hes playing right before me… And then GRiZ is right after me… Its like a three-course meal”. However these sets play out, we are stoked to see every act on Sonic Bloom’s stacked lineup. Curated Music will be arriving to Colorado Wednesday night and will be in town until Sunday. We look forward to getting out in the crowd and getting down to some of favorite producers at the moment. Minnesota said it best, “I’m Ready to rage with all my Colorado friends and family”. We agree.
